We Increase Our Clients’ Online Authority
We’ll make your website generate more good leads with digital marketing
Digital marketing includes three main disciplines: Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing and Social Media.
All three can get you more good leads, but none of them is a one time fix. We do them by continually innovating new approaches, monitoring results and making adjustments and improvements that increase your site’s visibility.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Search engines like Google look for sites that work well, that are relevant and honest and well-liked. Through optimization, we show Google that your site is one of those.
Good search terms. We’ll begin by selecting good search terms or “keywords.” Those are the words and phrases for which, when someone searches on them, you want your website to come up.
Choosing the right terms is a conversation. You tell us what kind of people you want to come to your site, we’ll share our experience and our knowledge about effective use of search terms. Together we’ll come up with a list that will attract just the kind of traffic you need.
You don’t want to compete with everybody for everything. Search terms are your way to pick your shots. If you’re a dentist, the term “dentist” has you competing with everybody, but the term “pediatric dentist on the north side” could get you seen by the people who need you.
Good references. Besides looking at what’s on your site, Google looks at references to your site. If you write a blog post that gets passed around, you get points. If you get good reviews you get points. If a major news source links to your site you get tons of points.
Good Google monitoring. In all, Google looks at hundreds of things on your site—how easy it is to navigate, how recently it was updated, how much of the content is original and more. By monitoring what Google looks for and continually fine tuning your site to show those qualities, we’ll make you more and more visible.
There are no shortcuts. If you hear, “For X dollars, we’ll get you the top listing,” run away. SEO isn’t tricks, it’s a steady, professional, day-by-day business. We’ve invested in highly-skilled, well-paid digital marketers who put in the hours needed to move the needle for you.
We can manage all aspects of SEO for you. Unlike some companies who just plug you into automated optimization software, our digital marketers do the work personally. We’ll track results and meet with you monthly to give you updates and plan next steps that will keep you moving up.
Search Engine Marketing
One way to be sure of a good position on the results page is to advertise. The ads at the top and down the right side of the Google results are “Search Engine Marketing.” It’s also called “pay-per-click” because that’s how it works, you only pay for the ad when someone clicks on it to go to your website.
To steer your ad to the right people, we’ll give the search engines another list of keywords and your ad will only be seen by people who search on them.
But of course, your competitors want that same person to see their ads. To determine whose ad gets on the page, the search engine holds an automated auction in a fraction of a second and sells the ad space to the top bidder.
How much will it cost? It depends on the value of the customer. To reach someone who searched for “Gluten-free bread mix” you might pay about 78¢ per click. For someone who searched for “small business loans,” anywhere between $45 and $55.
You set a price limit when you place your ad, and you’ll never pay more than that. You also set the total you’re willing to spend per day.
As part of their auction process, Google uses a “quality score” based on many of the same factors that go into search engine optimization. So optimizing may lower the cost of your clicks and boost your conversion rate.
Social Media
The third leg of digital marketing is social media—Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+ and the rest. Used well, they’ll draw people to your site and get it into the massive flow of conversation and references on the web, and the search engines will notice.
You’re probably using social media to some extent already. We’ll help you get more for the time you’re putting into it.
The key is creating content that draws attention and gets passed around. We’ll help you create it or even do it for you.
Don’t imagine you have nothing interesting to tell. Every business is interesting to its customers and to people in related businesses. Post things people would find interesting if you were talking face-to-face.
Are you an investment advisor? Write a blog post about a novel strategy. Put it on Facebook and LinkedIn with links to your site. Furniture retailer? Interview a designer you represent. Tweet about it and include a link to your site. Put samples on Pinterest. Jeweler? Do a YouTube video on women’s watches that are trending. Then feature them on Facebook or Instagram.
Pass along interesting quotes, articles and ideas relevant to your brand. Give credit.
Ask other industry bloggers if you can write a guest post.
